MOTO ETA · UTAH BETA
Support
Help with the Moto ETA iPhone and CarPlay beta. Make changes and send feedback while parked.
Contact Traverse Labs
Email info@traverselabs.net for app help. Include the iteration and build shown in Menu → Settings → About, your iPhone/iOS version, what you expected and what happened. A screenshot is useful after checking it for private places or other information.
When installed through TestFlight, you can also use its Send Beta Feedback option. A complete ride trace is optional. In an internal build, detailed traces can be exported from Menu → Debug using the system share sheet. Review any precise location data before choosing a recipient.
Start and end a trip
Finish the phone’s beta setup while parked, choose a destination, compare routes and start navigation. Simulate this drive follows a planned route without live riding. For live turns, keep Precise Location enabled. End with the phone’s X or CarPlay’s End control; arrival or disconnecting CarPlay does not by itself end guidance.
If location is denied, restore it in iPhone Settings → Apps → Moto ETA → Location. If a fresh fix is unavailable, check Precise Location, move to an open area and retry. An internet connection is needed for search and route requests; this beta does not promise full offline operation.
Understand the beta estimates
The initial motorcycle and legal coverage is Utah, US. Places outside Utah may appear in search, but motorcycle coverage there is unsupported. Current production inputs retain automobile traffic estimates with no validated filtering savings. Personal ETA learns separately from your usable rides; it cannot prove time saved by filtering.
Follow road signs and current conditions. The beta’s estimates and road data need real-world validation.
Your data and privacy
Local ride history can be cleared in Menu → Rides. Detailed internal debug recordings require separate opt-in and can be deleted in Menu → Debug. Mapbox requests and SDK telemetry are separate from these local files. Read the privacy policy for data, retention, sharing and deletion details, or email info@traverselabs.net with a privacy request.
